Just a little moan from an old timer. Like many of us, I've been the proud owner of an ATPL(H) since the mid 1970s. Have trained and examined almost 200 pilots, made half a dozen feature films and taken part in five World Championship 'freestyle' events while accumulating some 14,600 hours or so on the way.
Come licencing updating time, I submit the required paperwork for licence conversion to EASA and am now only deemed fit to hold a CPL(H) With retirement looming, I don't care too much I suppose, but can anyone tell me the sense of taking away a man's senior licence and downgrading it to the next one down the line? A mild form of madness I'd say. Take care all. Dennis Kenyon.
