XB, what do you suppose that test kit is hooked-up to the engine?

G-TSTR Moving to Australia
Elipix and Robin Trewinnard-Boyle have reported that SA341D G-TSTR (WA1905) former ZB625 is being shipped to Australia by her owner Jim Whalley where she will join Jim's other two Gazelles, VH-OIW and VH-OIX.
In October 1973 this Gazelle was fitted with a wing and made it's first test flight. This experimental Gazelle aimed to study the behavior of the helicopter at high speeds and high load factors especially in low altitude tactical flight. At the beginning of the 70's, preliminary studies for the future attack helicopter intended for the French Aviation Lรฉgรจre de l'Armรฉe de Terre led Aerospatiale and the French DGA to launch the realization of a prototype derived from the Gazelle helicopter equipped with a wing. However, auto-rotation behavior was considered as a sufficient obstacle to not continue the experiment.
This particular Gazelle had a busy life, because without its wing it was used for many studies including the evaluation of a new concept of main rotor (Biflex and Triflex) to test the aerodynamics at high speeds as well as vibration damping.
SA341F2 G-CMMI c/n 1267, previously registered to Secondo Baldi of Costigliole d'Asti, was registered to EliSystem Sky Srl, of Bucarest, Romania on 25-May-2023.
So perhaps they would know as I saw a photo of HA-LFE at Hidroplan some time back, painted in the same green as HA-LFB.

Ciao Stefano!

The helicopter was sold by Mark's wife to someone with a Spanish accent and then departed the UK.
On Avia, messages donโt always follow the original message, so you donโt always know what the reply is to.
There you go Zis, just look for a Spanish-speaking Gaz owner, then ask him when 1527 will be airborne again.
Yep, the whole system on Avia is very 'clunky' and long overdue an overhaul, hopefully soon. However, to keep comments related to the post, then one can maintain the conversation in the comments section below the post (as I am doing now) only that these are often 'overlooked' be readers unless one specifically surveys past message to see whether any comments have been made.
