Sure! It is in Gap Tallard airfield, in the French Alps, where the Alat had a small helicopter unit disbanded in 2009.

Nice photo Zis! 👍 Do you happen to know the reason behind this paint scheme? Is looks similar to the paintwork on ZU-HHP.

I wouldn't know, probably the owner prefer monochromatic livery on his machine. However, last info I have about #1087 is from 1998 when it was registered to SNC Transcopter Company.

I wondered how long it would take to find it was a 341

She was owned by the famous racing driver Bob Bondurant. He had a raceway and performance driving school in Phoenix, Arizona, a lovely guy. He passed away last year.

I went flying with him at his raceway in the early 2000's. Afterwards he took us onto the track in one of his race cars never been so scared in my life! I didn’t know you could get a car to do the things he did.

                                        • I have mentioned before that the two civilian Gazelles my late godfather occasionally flew were the Westland demonstrator G-BCHM (a photo of me standing next to her as a young'un I shared some time back) and Christian Salvesen's G-BAGK.

Below is a shot of G-BCHM at Farnborough '78, which show I attended (even during the trade days) though I was still a wee lad. Also seen in this photo is the tail of Ferranti's Agusta-built JetRanger G-AWJW and which was probably the Ferranti 206 I flew in most frequently. That week however, I got to fly into the show aboard Ferranti-managed G-BFAL which was the UK's first LongRanger. As an aside, the SBAC had awarded Ferranti the contract to manage the heliport during the Farnborough show, and which they did throughout the 60's and 70's.

I have fond memories of Farnborough '78, though many of those who made that week so special are no longer with us.
