In the early days of the Gazelle factory spares support was appalling. The German police and the British Army loaned each other spares in a clandestine arrangement. Spares went back and forth usually attached to crates of beer!!!
I also heard that the same applied to the Alouette fleet in the UK. All was well until a civilian pilot was told to collect some spares from the army. Sadly he flew to Middle Wallop instead of Netheravon and the cat was out of the bag.

Prego Zis! Maybe in the future one or more Gaz owners will decide to revive these classic schemes, as happened with ZU-RNB. Imagine if they even re-installed the curtains! 🤣

Btw, I'm not entirely sure the reason why, perhaps exposure (ie. many passing through the services) but most Gaz fans seem to be interested in the military colours more than civilian. I may be wrong.

Regarding images, I can't help but feel that are plenty more 'Classic American' Gaz images to be uncovered, especially among the former Vought staff.

Indeed, good pics of USA or Canada regd Gazelles from 1970's are quite rare to find

                Gazelle Delivery to Scotland

As mentioned not so long ago, there are rumours of a Gaz delivery to Scotland in the not-too-distant future.

What we can say so far is that this is likely to be an ex-Stapleford craft, most likely one which appeared in one of our recent videos from the Excel hangar.

We shall be relying on our Scottish correspondent 'Elipix' to keep us up-to-date on this development!

Sadly, I am unable to identify the aerodrome, despite the fairly distinctive trees and taxiway. The JetRangers however are Ferranti's G-AWJW (left) and Dollar's G-BAKF and which places the photo in the mid 70's. As you can see, there is also a Hughes 300 in the shot, but I am unable to identify that. Spent many hours flying aboard 'JW' as a youngster.

HN-45M 12935, correct. The photo was taken in April 1990 at Rujista area near Mostar during trial flights prior the machine's delivery to YuAF. The author was Milan Majersky (R.I.P. ) who worked at Soko VI factory at that time.

                        Fenestron coffee table design

I think Zis already showcased this coffee table concept. The only thing I would say is that rather than slicing-up a potentially usable fenestron, one could achieve a similar effect by creating a fibreglass moulding and appropriately painting some wooden fenestron blades.

Thanks to South Africa's Paramount Aviation, the SA341B is no longer solely associated with active service in the British Army, but now also with active service within the Mozambique Air Force. In fact, Paramount's Gazelle sales into Africa has influenced the MoD's disposal strategy in that with regard to their remaining Gazelles they are now actively seeking buyers from among the defence forces of the developing nations, specifically members of the Commonwealth.
